Product Description

Low Curing Polyester Epoxy Resin with Good Board Appearance 

HH2535 is a carboxyl terminated saturated polyester resin, which is mainly used in
polyester / epoxy powder coating system. 
In recent years, powder coatings have developed rapidly. Compared with traditional liquid coatings, powder coatings have the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection and excellent comprehensive performance. At present, the curing time of most powder coatings is about 180-200 degrees Celsius. With the strengthening of the concept of energy saving and environmental protection in today's society, low temperature curing powder coatings is a development trend. In addition, some heat-sensitive substrates, such as MDF, are also temperature-sensitive and require low temperature curing.
The main raw material of powder coating is polyester resin. To reduce the curing temperature of powder coating, it is mainly required that polyester resin can be cured at low temperature. Lowering the curing temperature necessarily requires high reactivity of the resin, and high reactivity can have a certain impact on the performance of the coating. The existing powder coating systems mainly have the following problems when used for low temperature curing. On the one hand, the reactivity of the system is not enough, the powder coating cannot be completely cured, and the coating performance is not ideal; in order to achieve the reactivity required for low-temperature curing, polyester resins often have higher melt viscosity and higher reactivity, and at low temperatures conditions cannot be adequately leveled. These greatly affect the decorative properties of powder coatings.
HH2535 greatly improves the reactivity, and at the same time has board appearance and excellent degassing performance. When the resin is applied to powder coatings, it achieves low-temperature curing very well, the coating has good adhesion to the substrate, and has good leveling and stability, and chemical resistance, designed for thermosensitive substrate.
