Product Description

50/50 Polyester Epoxy Resin Anti-sagging Performance for Hybrid Powder Coatings
HHZ5 is a saturated polyester resin, mainly used for 50/50 polyester/epoxy hybrid powder coatings systems.
Powder coating is a new type of solvent-free solid powder coating. In practical applications, after the spray curing is completed, the edge of the workpiece will have a fat edge phenomenon, which is called sagging. Serious sag defects will directly lower the coating pass rate.
In actual spraying applications, controlling the sagging of the powder in a suitable range can not only obtain suitable leveling performance, but also avoid excessive fat edges and affect the connection of workpieces.
To solve the sagging problem of powder coating, there are the following solutions
1. Select resins with high melt viscosity or high softening point to increase the melt viscosity of powder coatings.
2. Select a resin with higher resin activity to shorten the curing time of the powder coating, or add a curing accelerator to the powder coating to shorten the curing time of the powder coating and reduce the melt level fluidity of the powder coating.
3. Add a corner coverage improver to improve the sagging of the coating film.
4. Properly adjust the variety and dosage of pigments and fillers, or use pigments and fillers with large oil absorption to adjust the melt viscosity of the powder coating and improve the sag of the coating.
