Super Durable HAA Blended Polyetser Resin for Low Gloss Powder Coating
NH6381A/NH6688A are saturated carboxyl polyester resins for low gloss polyester/primid powder coatings by a dry blend procedure.
Models with an A indicate that this polyester resin is tin-free, which is mainly prepared by using tin-free catalysts.
The organic tin catalyst has high activity, and the polyester products produced by using it are white in color, and its performance meets the requirements of powder coatings. Therefore, it is currently used as a catalyst for polyesters for general-purpose powder coatings. However, several non-industrial poisoning incidents of organotin have occurred in recent years, which has aroused the concern of all parties regarding the toxicity of organotin. At present, organotin compounds have been identified as endocrine disruptors and important persistent toxic substances.
The standard IOS-MAT-0054 (V9) formulated by I-KEA with reference to EN71-3:2013 does not allow the use of any kind of organotin compounds, and this resin is completely free of tin, and the powder coatings prepared with it can be exported to the European Union for application to Toys, I-KEA furniture, etc.
